Metropolitan Stephen Visits New Jersey Parish

Williamstown,NJ - On Sunday, February 19, Pastor Joseph Martyniuk and the parishioners of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church welcomed Metropolitan Stephen during his canonical visitation to the parish.  Mary Yurkosky, representing the Apostleship of Prayer, presented the Metropolitan with the traditional bread and salt welcome.  John Wasiurko greeted the Archbishop in Ukrainian and Harry Peles greeted him in English.  Ashley and Joie Hurf presented Metropolitan Stephen with flowers.  During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Stephen delivered the homily and stressed the need for vocations to the priestly and religious life.  After the Liturgy, parishioners had an opportunity to meet the Metropolitan during a social in the parish hall.
