History 1968

In the June 9, 1968 issue of "The Way" there was an article titled "Archbishop Makes Canonical Visitation of Twin Parishes in New Jersey."  Archbishop Ambrose Senyshyn, O.S.B.M. visited St. Michael's Church in Camden, N.J. on May 19, 1968.  The pastor, Rev. Myron Kozmoski was assigned to St. Michael's several months ago (according to the article) and also administers to Ukrainian Catholics in SS. Peter and Paul parish, on the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown, N.J.

Here are the pictures from page 4 of the June 9, 1968 issue of "The Way."

Small Parish Begins New Church Building Program

(Photo Above) After Archbishop Ambrose Senyshyn completed  his visitation of St. Michael's parish in Camden, he traveled the Black Horse Pike to its sister parish, SS. Peter and Paul Church, Williamstown.  The entire parish turned out to greet the Metropolitan who posed with the parishioners on the steps of the old church.  The parish will begin construction of a new church at the end of this summer.  The building will include living quarters for a priest.

(Photo Above) First Communion was also observed the same day in SS. Peter and Paul parish.  The only member of the class, John Besjiuk, is shown receiving together with his mother and father.
